Outcomes & Destinations

We are immensely proud of our students' progression into meaningful pathways beyond college. Our students work hard to develop strong employability skills, and it shows, the proportion who move into paid employment after leaving us far exceeds the national average of 6%, a reflection of their determination and the outstanding support they receive.

While not all students secure paid roles during their time with us, they leave MFC as active and confident job seekers, equipped with the skills and tools needed to pursue employment either independently or through supported employment services. Our destination tracking consistently confirms this. We also support students whose aspirations require further development, enabling them to continue their journey through further education and build the strong foundations needed for future success.

Across both 2024 and 2025, our destination data highlights consistently strong outcomes, with year‑on‑year growth in several key areas. In 2024, 96.43% of our 28 leavers progressed into meaningful destinations, with 39.3% securing paid employment across sectors such as retail, hospitality and catering, and arboriculture. A further 7.14% moved into voluntary roles to continue developing their employability skills, while 60.7% progressed into Further Education to pursue higher‑level qualifications including Level 1 and 2 Diplomas and NVQs.

In 2025, with a larger cohort of 52 leavers, outcomes strengthened even further. 98.53% of students moved into meaningful destinations, and 41.17% entered paid employment, work‑based training, or supported employment including 20.59% who stepped directly into paid roles. Volunteering remained a valuable pathway for 3.1% of students, while progression into Further Education continued to be a significant route, with 56.6% of Year 13 leavers and 41.56% of Year 14 leavers advancing to higher‑level study.

We are proud that students continue to sustain their positive outcomes, reflecting the care we take to ensure their aspirations are realised and that the needs of every individual remain at the heart of our careers programme.
