The careers programme at Market Field College is designed and evaluated using the Gatsby benchmarks. These eight evidence-based benchmarks set the standard for delivering high‑quality, world‑class careers education for all learners.

We track our progress against the Gatsby benchmarks using Compass+, and termly assessments are carried out by Hazel Govia, in collaboration with the Careers and Enterprise Company, to ensure our careers provision remains compliant, consistent, and ambitious for all. 

Following the publication of Good Career Guidance: The Next Ten Years, the Gatsby Benchmark framework has been updated to reflect the evolving needs of the modern workforce. These refreshed standards set a higher bar for impact and inclusivity across the country.

We are currently refining our careers offer to align with these latest national benchmarks, ensuring our students benefit from a high-impact, evidence-based programme. Our updated Compass+ evaluation and our new 2025-2026 Careers Strategy will be published here shortly.
