I have 3 students that are all a valued member of our team. All are experiencing the everyday life of a charity shop and learning stock control, till work, customer liaison and general retail work. I feel that we are progressing together, and it is very satisfying seeing our students progress which will be so worthwhile for their future with regard to retail experience

We are delighted to support Market Field College. Over the years we have worked with various educational establishments and welcomed young people in different areas of Greater Anglia and have been impressed by their enthusiasm, hard work and eagerness to learn. We hope that the experience young people have gained with us helps them as they start out on their career paths

Malcolm cutter - greater anglia

The current student we have has been a fantastic work experience candidate for Pinnacle Group. He has been carrying out the role of a caretaker in a challenging educational environment. He has been learning various skills such as statutory testing and DIY. He has developed in a way that has been evident to their colleagues in both physical tasks and social settings. He has integrated into the team well and has supported his colleagues, continuously learning new things. He has been working to Pinnacles core values, probably without even realising, which shows how focused he is in their role within the team.

Jenny chapman - pinnacle group

Horse Rangers Association Harwich have had a student for over a year. She is a pleasure to work with. She is reliable, punctual, methodical, in everything she does. She works with her own autonomy as she is confident in the tasks that she undertakes within the routine of a busy yard. She is always polite and cheerful.

I have two of the most outstanding student's that come and support within the shop on a volunteering level. Making sure that the shop is full of new stock on a daily basis so that we do not miss any opportunities. Pricing stock, hanging stock, placing stock in correct areas of the shop. Using the till, customer services, asking for gift aid and being able to sign new customers up

The students have been doing some gardening work while with us. This includes weeding/planting, and they also did a little bit of blanket weed clearing from our little boating lake. They have been a good addition to the team fitting in and completing tasks set to them

Tendring district council - volunteer gardening programme

We have been working with the Market Field team and students on and off for some years now. The students help in many areas on our machine shop; from finishing components with hand tools to running a machine. What I have found is that the company team, as well as the students benefits hugely and is extremely rewarding for both sides. I would recommend companies to get involved.
